Sensei Jerome Wahl and Sensei Jake Mirabito jointly lead MTG Judo Club as Head Coaches, bringing a shared passion for judo and a strong commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive training environment.
Known for their supportive, practical coaching style, they focus on strong fundamentals, safe progression, and helping every member feel confident on the mat. Together, they continue the legacy of MTG’s founder, Maurice “Maurie the Great” Mirabito, by putting people first and building a positive club culture grounded in respect and community.

Jerome has been a central part of the MTG story from the beginning and played a key role alongside Maurice Mirabito in establishing the club in its current form. His coaching emphasises strong technical foundations, consistency, and creating an environment where judoka of all ages feel supported and challenged at the right level.

Jake returned to MTG Judo Club in 2022 to continue the legacy started by his father, Maurice Mirabito. Alongside his role at MTG, Jake is actively involved in state-level athlete development, bringing contemporary coaching knowledge and broader pathway experience back into the club.
